How to Upload Civ V Game to Steam Cloud
Equally far every bit I know all games use the steam deject differantaly, so some games volition make all saved games on the cloud and others will brand a local save choice and a cloud save option. Civ Five's cloud is quite elementary to utilise. First you have load the game you lot desire to exist on the cloud, press Esc to open ingame bill of fare, then click on "Save Game", and then at the top right there should be a circle with the give-and-take "Steam Cloud" adjacent to it, select the circle then 10 slots will popular up, then click on a slot and save your game in that slot. You should now be able to get on some other calculator logged on to the same business relationship, then all you have to exercise is load a game like you normally would, but instead select that "Steam Cloud" circle, and your saved game should be there, click on it, then click Load Game and information technology'll load your game from where you saved it. This should also work with mods if you get through the mods carte with the same mods activated as the saved game. Hope this helped.
NOTE: Autosaves will non automaticly update the cloud slot, you lot have to save games manually to at that place. Just yous can always load the autosave then relieve that game onto the cloud.
Note two: This is how to employ the cloud on Civ Five, like I said, most if not all games use the cloud differantaly. To see if a game supports the cloud, go to library, select the second view pick (found near the summit right), all game that support cloud should have a lilliputian cloud side by side to there status.

For Steam Cloud, it is automatic as long as yous are online. You lot can also re-create the save folder manually between the computers.
Thank you both, the comments were very helpful.
The Steam Deject hasn't been working and then well for me. I save my game there, then re-save information technology and see that the 1st save is listed in the Steam Cloud. And so I login from another calculator (I actually switch from desktop to laptop so I tin keep gaming in another room) and all of a sudden the Steam Cloud save isn't there. And then it'southward not likewise reliable. Also, I noticed that saving and then logging completely out of steam seems to help. Basically try not to have 2 instances of Steam running at the same time (even if yous are non logged in, but information technology's running). It seems to work better to start upwardly Steam equally a new example. As well the naming nomenclature of Civilization saves in the Steam Cloud could be ameliorate. You take no custom naming. So when I salvage lots of games it gets disruptive (and... simply 10 saves total)? Part of the reason I merely bought a new gaming laptop is considering of the Steam Deject so I could relieve my game from my desktop and so switch to an every bit powerful reckoner and continue to savor the game. (Right now I have an entry level laptop and then going from the desktop to the laptop is a meaning difference in graphics and speed when playing Civ 5). My betoken is I hope that Steam Deject can be improved, because information technology's the basis for a big buy and also I spend a lot of my time lately playing Civ on Steam. Having their Cloud salve characteristic is a big benefit for people like me.
This just doesn't work at all for me. I save on my laptop and no matter what I practise it doesn't prove on the other computer on the same business relationship when trying to load a game from the Steam deject.
This is pretty annoying...
Does it work cross platform? I generally game on Windows, but I simply got a Macbook Air, and I know I saved a game equally Aacronian said on the PC, but that save file isn't an option on the Mac. I see an earlier game I played on the Mac though.

Merely wanted to update, incase anyone else is looking downwards the line on how to fix this.
I ran into this problem where my laptop wouldn't sync cloud games with my desktop. These instructions are Mac specific.
Navigate to ~/Library/Application Back up/Steam/userdata/YOUR###/remote
In that folder you lot should see a diverseness of maccloudsave files. Delete the ones on the automobile that won't sync.
Navigate to the same binder on the machine that volition sync, copy them to the machine that was having bug.
At present they're both syncing properly over again.
